UN Won't Help Ukraine But US and NATO Can

Russia Sidelines United Nation

NATO Airpower Won Big in 1999

Ukraine Wants Help, Not Ground Troops

After Russia started the verbal food fight in New York Jan. 31, the United Nations Security Council isn’t going to help Ukraine.  But NATO still can, I say in my Feb. 1 piece for Fox News Opinion.   It's sad to see the UN sidelined by Russia and China.  Article 51 does give Ukraine the right to self-defense and allies can help.  Yes, NATO is reluctant, but remember NATO won its 1999 war against Serbia with a precise, 78-day air campaign using no ground troops.  I doubt NATO will stand by if Putin unleashes horrors in Ukraine.
