The First 600 Days of Combat

As the title indicates, this book examines the first 600 days of air operations that took place as part of The Global War on Terror. All three major military operations are examined thoroughly:
  • Operation Noble Eagle, to protect major US cities and locations after the attacks of 9/11
  • Operation Enduring Freedom, to remove al Qaeda and the Taliban away from Afghanistan
  • Operation Iraqi Freedom, to liberate Iraq and its people from a dictator with terrorist ties
From this analysis, the book offers lessons on the importance of Joint Warfare, Air and Space Superiority, Expeditionary Operations, Precision and Persistence, Airlift and Air Refueling, and the service men and women who bring it all together.
