IRIS Independent Research was founded 1995 by Dr. Rebecca Grant (click here for Dr. Grant's biography)
as a source for military and industry
clients seeking research and analysis of operational and strategic
trends and concepts. The US Air Force has been a client for almost 10 years and we
have worked extensively with both Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin. Recent projects include analyses for both the US Air Force and the US Navy on the role of air and space power in The Global War on Terrorism. These include both the classified and unclassified official Air Force reports on the conflict. In the works is a study of the advanced and expanded capabilities of the Global Hawk, which falls on the heels of an earlier publication about that UAV. Other platforms we have examined include the the F-22 Raptor and the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Many of our clients ask us to publish the finished product as a book or a CD-ROM designed for the consumer as well as military enthusiasts.
