About Rebecca Grant
Ancestral home town:
London School of Economics (yes, not only did we study Marx, Hegel and Nietzsche, I had to teach them! Mostly Hegel.)
Red, my gallant Tennessee Walking Horse loves exploring the woods and trails of Southern Maryland.
Kawasaki 454 LTD, my first and only bike, yes I still have it.
A classic Rhodes Bantam.
Sold my beloved 1967 Pontiac Catalina convertible to a race car driver friend. Still miss “the Beast.”
Cool guy who has flown Mach 2.
Book I just read:
Harold Nicolson, Diaries 1930 to 1939. An English insider’s take on how they let Hitler get out of hand.
Just back from:
February 2015: Melbourne, Australia...it was summer there, as the Royal Australian Air Force hosted PACAF's Gen. Lori Robinson and representatives from many other air forces at a conference. My speaker's tope? Autonomy on the future battlefield.
July 2014: Whiteman AFB, where I was priveleged to fly in a B-2 bomber (Spirit 578)
April 2014: Istanbul, where as a guest of the Turkish Air Force I spoke on future technologies for air warfare.
Summer 2012: Alaska, where I flew with the E-3 AWACS, a Royal Australian Air Force C-130-J-30 (big, modern, nice!) and as "Ivan 3" in the backseat of an F-16 with the 18th Aggressor Squadron during a Red Flag Alaska large force exercise. Incredible privilege to see airmen in action.
